Everyone needs access to a good bookstore. Homeschoolers possibly more than most. We have a great bookstore near us. On Saturday we went to it’s 33 birthday party. They were also celebrating being awarded Publishers Weekly Bookstore of the Year. See, cool bookstore.

So we took the kids to the big party. They got to listen to the readings with Curious George, had their faces - and arm - painted, and decorated cookies. Mommy and daddy got chair massages (we skipped the tarot readings and henna). The massuese kept mumbling about how tight my muscles were. At the end she hands my husband her business card and she’s written 10% off mommy discount on it. Eeek! Evidently I look like I need it.

Talk about a game face. He wanted a dragon on his arm so he could flex and make it fly. Any other 6 yo I might have laughed. But he’s doing gymnastics 6 hours a week for some reason.
