Eclectic Parent

B just had to go with mommy to get my hair cut today. Very, very girly experience. She hung out most the time. She was fascinated by the tin foil in my hair for highlights. Then she wanted a haircut. She actually told the woman cutting my hair, “Hair in my eyes. Need bangs trimmed.” It took longer to put her in the big chair and put a cape on her than it did to take three snips of her bangs, but she was a happy girl. She was getting restless though so daddy came the one mile to get her.

After he picked up B, he took all the kids to the Mesa Southwest Museum. They love the dinosaurs and had a good time walking around. The museum actually has all thing from the area (who thinks of dinosaurs being found in Arizona? but they’ve actually found mamoth bones just since we’ve lived here) - so the kids also panned for gold in the courtyard and watched the flash flood.

D had gymnastics in the evening. They did some crazy relay race - walk on your hands to the big block, hand stand to upside pushups, jump up on the block then jump down the other side sticking your landing, repeat the jump down five time, sommersault, some pushups, something else I don’t remember, v ups (like sit-ups with straight legs, v-ing up nose to knees), I dont even remember the rest. I was tired just watching and couldn’t help but think how much better shape in if I did just that part of their workout. Then there was another 2 hours and 45 minutes.
