She loves to pretend to cook and always wants to help. It’s hard to find things a 2 yo can help with: things are too hot, too sharp, too high or require too much help. She was thrilled to get to pick basil out of her garden to add to pasta one night. She also thought it was great fun to get to oil the vegetables for the grill (lots of olive oil in a baking dish, precut veggies and washed hands = fun).
We’ve been in a hurry latley and forgetting to take the time to let her help. She’s been so happy with getting to do the little things that it makes the extra time worth it.
