A B C D E F G H I K J L M N T and Z

We have been privileged to hear rousing renditions of the ABC song from our 2 yo lately. She’s got the first half down but it gets a little shaky at the end. She gets lost somewhere in the L.M.O.P. area. She also treats us to a lovely rendition of “Don’t take my Sunshine Away”, but … Continue reading »

Whole lotta science going on

So while I’ve been busy this week, daddy has been doing a lot of science. This is the time of year most people spend outdoors. Today’s supposed to hit 111; this is our season to be indoors. So they’ve been occupied doing a lot of science experiments. The whole thing about science isn’t so much … Continue reading »

Goodbye

The kid’s great grandmother died yesterday. She had a stroke on Thursday and was transfered to hospice care. The children got to say goodbye to her. She had been pretty unresponsive all day, occasionally opening her eyes but not really seeing. Everyone kept telling us that hearing was last to go; tell us that she … Continue reading »

Table Games

We were doing anatomy during dinner last night. All day with daddy . . .

The kids had swimming this morning. We switched to a slightly earlier time and had a new instructor. They weren’t quite sure what to make of him. Seemed to have fun in class though. Afterward they had a very good time as the Arizona Science Center. The Science Center is a fantastic place but it … Continue reading »

Destruction leads to discoveries

We are still working on the house. Not only are we doing the work ourselves but we work from home and homeschool three children. The homeschooling part only matters because it means they are, well, at home. As a homeschooling father of four said to us one day, “It said assembly in two to three … Continue reading »
