Tuesday night’s soccer camp homework was done Wednesday morning. By the time gymnastics gets out, it’s dinner, bath, bed. Tuesday night’s homework was to make a healthy drink. The coach was explaining the energy drinks aren’t good for them and they were supposed to come up with something. Well we were pretty low on groceries and ideas so we ended up mixing pomegranate lemonade (vitamin C) with honey (for energy). Someone else actually made homemade grape juice. While we didn’t take as much time as we might have liked, the idea can be worked on another day.
So soccer for three hours in the morning. Then we went to lunch with grandma. After lunch we went to see Ratatouille. It is a very cute movie. The kids had all seen it before but it’s so rare that there is a movie they can all see (even a lot of Gs are too violent or boring for little kids) that we went again. On the way out I mentioned that we could look up the recipe and make ratatouille; “That’s actually a real thing?” asked our fussiest eater in dismay.
Grocery shopping afterward. That’s always an educational experience. Discussion, comparison, healthy or not, pricing, why this but not that. That pretty much took up our day. Soccer, lunch, movie, shopping, home to dinner and bed.
