Fly all day.
Not really, it just seems like it. By the time you get to the airport two hours before your flight, fly from one side of the country to the other and pass through several time zones, it’s an all day event. The kids were great. Fantastic travelers.
And you have to love flying into New York. I was sitting by C as we landed (we were split 3 and 2 and everytime some one the restroom [or the toilet as the boys are calling it after a discussion of differences in US English vs UK English]we rearranged our seatmates) and he kept asking about all the planes we taxied by. Many airports don’t have Royal Jordanian, Emerites or Air Korea.
Flying, like anything, can give you tons to discuss: geography of what you are flying over and where you are landing; cloud types and how heat rising affects turbulence (very relevant flying out of Phoenix in summer); the whys and hows of airports, airplanes and security.
