Gymnastics Day

September 4th, 2007 · No Comments

Today was dedicated to gymnastics, completely and utterly. While we were on vacation we got an email recommending other gyms with no explanation why. We finally discovered that D’s coach had had to quit and that had steamrolled into them realizing it would be difficult to replace him and then deciding they didn’t have enough boys to bother replacing him for the two levels he coached, which rolled into them deciding to cancel the competitive boys program. Just like that.

So we returned to have to try to find another program for D the week everyone is ordering team uniforms. Of course if we’re moving D then we’re going to move C and B as well. So we started off with the little two trying a new gym class at 10 AM. We all went to check out the gym. Kid’s loved the class.

Home for lunch and daddy reminded me that we’d never canceled the other gym for C and B so they had class in the afternoon. So daddy took the little two to another gymnastics class while I took D to try the new gym for his class. So two hours for the little ones and 2.5 for D.

He really liked his old gym but it was very, very heavy into girls gymnastics. Level 4 had about five boys and fifty girls. This gym had fourteen boys in Level 4; D and two others were from his old gym and were trying the out the class. It looks like a good program and D had a lot of fun. Laser Tag on Saturday to bond with the team.

For some odd reason everyone went to bed on-time tonight and B was actually early. Interesting . . .
