Eeeek! My sidebar has gone all wanky (that’s a technical word) and in trying to fix it I’ve just discovered a repository of comments going back a few months. I am so sorry I never replied to any. I didn’t know they were there. If any of you are still out there, I’m going to do my best to get all the comments out before we go on our big summer vacation (explanation coming soon . . . )
now back to fixing my sidebar!
————————————————-
OK sidebar appears to be fixed and reloading found my comments. So discovered that Maria at Natural Learning & Family Fun tagged me to write a 6 word memoir. I wouldn’t have heard of this if it wasn’t for the writing class I took a few months ago. Unfortunately my real job got busy and I only made it to half the classes but the talked of the book that started it. Imagine encapsulating your life in six words. The original post - and tagging started at bookbabie (original post below).
As I read yet another book review of a memoir this weekend, my husband told me that I should write one. I said that my story would be much too short and rather boring so when I ran across the following book I decided it was just my speed. A six word memoir! Written by Larry Smith and Rachel Fershleiser, Not Quite What I was Planning: Six Word Memoirs by Writers Famous and Obscure is a compilation based on the story that Hemingway once bet ten dollars that he could sum up his life in six words. His words were- For Sale: baby shoes, never worn. There’s a video on Amazon with examples from the book, it sounds like a fun read! I’d like to start a six word memoir meme and here are the rules:
1. Write your own six word memoir
2. Post it on your blog and include a visual illustration if you’d like
3. Link to the person that tagged you in your post and to this original post if possible so we can track it as it travels across the blogosphere
4 .Tag five more blogs with links
5. And don’t forget to leave a comment on the tagged blogs with an invitation to play!
So here is mine: Teach math by baking cookies together.
I’m going to tag Jeanette at Crunchy [on the inside], Maisha at Madre de Muchos, Ilaria at The Keoghs’ Kronikles, Michelle at What, Me Blog?, and Karen at I Wanna . . .
