On The Road, Day 21: Lemonade Stand

Posted by on July 20, 2008

Ah the joys of summer: swimming and playing with our cousins.  One of their cousins had the The Daring Book For Girls and tried to do an activity out of the book every day.  Flipping through the book, they got the idea in their heads that they wanted to make a lemonade stand.  It was hot and humid so it seemed like a good idea.  There were people walking by or riding on their bikes and none of the kids could think of any reason why everyone wouldn’t want a cool refreshing glass of lemonade.  They make lemonade from scratch with water, lemons, and sugar, just like the book recommended and then made signs. The kids were very happy to try to flag down anyone who walked or drove by for some lemonade.  The few customers we had were big tippers.   The must have really enjoyed the service.

All in all it took up most of an afternoon, kept them busy and happy.
