It’s About Time

Finally

After 7 years, 11 months and 1 week, it finally happened. D lost a tooth. He’s been waiting since friends and cousins started losing Happy Grinteeth around their 5th birthdays. Every dentist visit, he’s asked when they think he’ll loose a tooth. Every time a friend loses one, he asks when he’ll finally lose one. He has had wigglers for about three months but they just weren’t coming out. Of course, he decided it hurt to eat carrots, apples, anything hard and hasn’t eaten them in months. Tonight he finally decided to just chomp onĀ  down on a cob of corn, wiggle his loosest tooth, chomp on corn, wiggle tooth. With one mighty last wiggle, out popped his first tooth. He couldn’t be happier.

Oooh, didn’t know she specialized. He’s got four other teeth loose to varying degrees. Now that he’s finally lost one, he’s quite a bit more determined that the others come out. I can’t wait for his 8 year old picture with a huge gap in the front. If he doesn’t start losing them soon, I’ll give her a call.
